On 12 April 2021, China Maritime Arbitration Commission (CMAC), in collaboration with China Shipowners’ Association (CSA)and China Maritime Law Association co-hosted a webinar on “Questions arising out of EVER GIVEN Suez Canal blockage” as an open forum for participants from the industries, academics, insurance companies, P&I and government to explore questions on piloting, salvage, average adjustment and marine insurance. Around 1,800 participants joined the webinar. The opening ceremony was moderated by CMAC Deputy Secretary General Dr CHEN Bo and CMAC Vice-Chairman Dr LI Hu delivered a welcome speech.
